Software Engineers applying to non-startups usually need to follow a multi-phase interview process.

As part of these multiple phases, we must prove our understanding of many aspects.

In today’s post, I want to discuss my latest interview process and the different steps I was invited to follow.

Phase 1: Meet the Talent Acquisition / HR team

My journey started by sending an application for an open position I found while browsing LinkedIn. However, the company kept a low-profile attitude and didn’t reach out to me to schedule a call or reject my application until recently.

A Talent Acquisition team member emailed me to schedule an introductory call with the company, gather some data, and explain why they haven’t reached me for three months.

At that time, I felt confused but excited to know I was not rejected before starting the process. Still, I am happy to have this opportunity.

Phase 2: A Live Coding Session
