Firstly, I work as a software engineer and want to use macOS. It just works, and it's faster than Windows or Linux.
Secondly, Windows says 62%, Linux says 40%, and macOS says 31%. Maths don't lie, so 62% + 40% + 31% = 133% (hard to believe we get a figure greater than 100%). And this is just for personal use. This means the same person can use Windows for games, Linux for servers and macOS for work. What matters here is not the percentage but the question (such as "what OS do you use at home?").
Thirdly, it seems (more) reasonable to say that companies decide what to give to their developers. In my previous position, I needed to fight to be able to work with Linux rather than Windows, and that was because macOS was utterly rejected.
Finally, "💻 Please Stop Lying That Developers Don't Prefer MacOS" because that's the same lie.
