Apologize accepted.

To answer your question, sentences like "did you read my article?" or "read the article before you comment" may not sound polite but offensive, especially because it's impossible to "hear" any tone (my elders taught me that choosing the right words is extremely important). I'm happy to know that was not the intention, and I hope my comments helped to clarify the points I tried to highlight, which differ from your article.

I was not pushing you to share personal details. Still, the southern part of Spain usually has a more comfortable lifestyle than the north, thanks to the help and subsidies these regions get from the northern ones (you can search on Google to get percentages of paid taxes and reinverted amounts for further details). Hence, there is a difference between your opinion and mine. Having said that, feel free to remove some details from your previous comment if you believe they should not be posted publicly. I value my privacy; hence, I guess you value yours too.

Please note that some friends living in specific regions don't represent most people living and working there. You know better than I know the situation in this small town where you are, but I know much better than you how life is in the northern region and town where I grew up and lived for almost 40 years. So, in my humble opinion, I believe your friends there are some of the few fortunate people.
